Impact Investor and Serial Entrepreneur
Prabhat Agarwal has charted an exemplary path for doing well by doing good. He is a serial entrepreneur, a lead impact investor and mentor in the social enterprise space in India. His venture Janta Meals, an organisation that aims to provide nutritious meals to the informal sector in India, now feeds more than 10,000 people per day through its network of franchises.
He co-founded Parsec Technologies, an enterprise communications venture, Parsec Loans – a home mortgage marketing company and Whowhere, Inc. a global people search portal. In 2012, he even championed a National Public Bicycling Scheme in Gurgaon to resolve urban living and public transport issues. A man who puts fuels his beliefs with his energy, Prabhat Agarwal consults, mentors and supports many more social enterprise ventures including eGramServe, Beat of India, SmartRide, Micro Housing Finance Corporation, Altigreen Propulsion Labs, Impact Carbocuts and Lok Refrigeration.
Prabhat is also a charter member of TiE; NASSCOM Regional Council, Haryana; member the Ennovent Impact Circle; and is on the advisory board of Sambhaavna Institute of Public Policy.
Prabhat is founder and coach at Aravali Scholars wherein deserving students from low-income neighbourhoods are mentored and provided academic resources to achieve their potential. Prabhat has done his B. Tech. from IIT Delhi and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He has been conferred the prestigious Significant Contribution to National Development Award by IIT Delhi Alumni Association.
