Global Delivery Lead, Microsoft

Fondly known as the Soldier of Fortune, Deependra Sengar has an amazing life story, which includes an awe-inspiring stint in the Indian Army. When in the army, Sengar was nicknamed Rocket by his colleagues. Part of the Special Forces, he had a fair share of action in combat. In ten years of military service, he survived two near death experiences due to combat injuries. When the doctors finally declared that he will not walk without a wheelchair or crutches, he decided to leave Army and joined corporate life after two years at IIM Ahmedabad. In corporate life he has been working in Japan, Philippines and Singapore and is back in India now heading the Global Delivery Center for Microsoft. Before this he has had his own start up and has also worked for GE and IBM. He has now acquired the reputation for being a change manager par excellence. He is in a global leadership role at Microsoft with many international assignments in Asia. He thrives in change management roles and has rich experience of turning around organizational performance. When asked, he humbly calls himself an ordinary man who is lucky to have an eventful life with a fair share of twists and turns.
